About us

The Flower Box Florist was established in Cape Town in 1963. VAT Registration No 4450145687.

We provide a flower and gift delivery service in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town and use local florists to provide this service else where in South Africa and World Wide.

Use of Site

You may only use this site to browse the content, make legitimate purchases and shall not use this site for any other purposes, including without limitation, to make any speculative, false or fraudulent purchase. This site and the content provided in this site may not be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted or distributed. Product availability

All images, descriptive matter, specifications and advertising on our web site are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods. Due to the nature of the flowers and florist's handiwork, final delivered items may differ from the images shown on this web site Due to non-availability, the delivering florist may also substitute flowers, greenery, filler, container or accessories without notice to the purchaser.

Delivery time is dependent on stock availability.

Every effort is made to effect shipment of your order timeously however unforeseen circumstances may cause delays. Should we be faced with such an occurrence The Flower Box Florist will contact you via email and provide a revised shipping schedule.

Delivery Policy

When you click to make a purchase with us legal obligations arise and your right to refund of monies charged to your credit card or paid in any other way agreed by us, are limited by our terms & conditions. You must not make any purchase through this site unless you understand and agree all our terms and conditions. Once payment is made for the purchase, it is deemed that you have read and understood the terms and conditions for such purchase. Shipping.
When orders are placed on a weekend or public holiday the order will be processed on the next working day.

Same day deliveries are not guaranteed. Should we have stock available, orders will be dispatched the same day provided payment is validated/received before 1200 hours.

The purchaser confirms that the physical delivery address and contact details provided are correct and no information is required to deliver effectively has been excluded. Title and risk will pass to you once the order is considered to be successfully delivered.

Undeliverable packages.
In case the recipient is unavailable at the given address, the delivering outlet can leave the product with a neighbour / co-worker / leave a calling card / leave a voice message or coordinate with the recipient to re-attempt delivery – depending on what is most applicable to the circumstances.

If the delivery person is not allowed to deliver the flowers or gifts directly to the recipient for orders such as hospitals, hotels and business addresses, the delivery will be left at the reception desk and considered as successfully delivered.

Order processing.
Order processing will not begin until we receive a confirmed order and full payment.

When orders are placed on a weekend or public holiday the order will be processed on the next working day.

Orders will be delivered anytime between 9am and 5pm. Any specific delivery times requested on an order form cannot be guaranteed.

Refunds/returns Policy

In the event that we are unable to supply the flower product ordered or any substitute flower product, we shall notify you as soon as is reasonably possible and shall reimburse your payment in full and in any event no later than 30 days after the intended delivery date. However, we will not be responsible for compensating you for any other losses which you may incur if we do not deliver the goods

Delivery delays due to weather conditions, incorrect delivery address or an act of terror is not a cause for refund or replacement. In the case of a complaint, The Flower Box reserves the right to refund or replace depending on the circumstances provided that the complaint was reported with 7 days of the requested delivery date.

Payment Options and Pricing

All transactions will be processed in South African Rands (ZAR).

The Flower Box Florist endeavours to offer you competitive prices on current products; you're total order price will include the price of the purchase plus any applicable sales tax and delivery charges (on the day of shipping).

The Flower Box Florist reserves the right to change pricing at any time without prior notice.

Credit Card

We accept Master Card and Visa credit cards. If you do not have a credit card please utilise one of the other payment options, or simply log off and return to the site at a later time to complete your order. All of your order details will be saved online under in the Your Account section available for use whenever you’re ready! Sorry for the inconvenience.

EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer)

One of the most widely used ways of sending money online. Once you have added enough items to your shopping cart, proceed to “Checkout” and follow the order processing instructions. Select the option to pay via EFT. You will then have to load The Flower Box Florist as a beneficiary on your internet banking and use the unique order number in the reference line for your payment. This should ensure speedy processing and delivery of your selected products.

Direct Deposit

You may pay for your products through a direct deposit. It’s exactly the same as doing an EFT payment, except you’ll have to go into your bank and physically make your direct deposit there. Please fax through your deposit slip to us on 27 (0) 715 2088 to ensure your payment is confirmed and order shipped as quickly as possible.

The purchaser agrees to first use The Flower Box complaints handling procedure to try to resolve complaints when they first arise and that any complaints pertaining to the order will be reported within 7 days from the requested delivery date.

The Conditions will be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa whose Courts will have exclusive jurisdiction in any dispute, save that we have the right, at our sole discretion, to commence and pursue proceedings in alternative jurisdictions.
